The Albert, is based in Mosman on Sydney's lower North Shore. There are brilliant parts of Mosman as it is one of Sydney’s most lovely and prestigious areas. With a village vibe and stunning views amazing beaches and great restaurants it’s a brilliant place to go for a walk, have a coffee and enjoy the neighbourhood. Here’s a list of a few things we love about our neighbourhood, we’ve been to every one of these places and can absolutely recommend them all.
Balmoral Beach:
The iconic balmoral beach, the Jewel in the crown of Sydney’s harbour beaches The waters at Balmoral Beach may be as calm as those of an indoor pool, but they have all the benefits of being part of the ocean so you can still go snorkelling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and sailing
Mosman Art Gallery:
One of Australia’s premier art Galleries, close by and free: Mosman Art Gallery is a dedicated public gallery established by Mosman Council. Established in 1998, the Gallery enjoys an enviable reputation for excellence in its program of visual art exhibitions, associated events and education activities. Admission to the Gallery is free. Taronga Zoo:
One of Australia’s Icons. Taronga Zoo is a government-run public zoo located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, in the suburb of Mosman, on the shores of Sydney Harbour. The opening hours are between 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Taronga is an Aboriginal word meaning "beautiful view". It was officially opened on 7 October 1916.
Bathers Pavillon:
Superb food for special occasions, 3 venues from the superlative restaurant to the more relaxed bistro and even the excellent Betel leaf thai, this is a Mosman institution. Just sit back and enjoy the views.
Public Dining:
Excellent restaurant and good value. Elevated, seasonal Australian fare in elegant digs with ceiling-high windows, water views & a patio.
Mosman is named after Archibald Mosman (1799–1863) and his twin brother George, who moved onto a 4-acre (16,000 m2) land grant in the area in 1831. They were involved in shipping, and the bay became known as Mosman's Bay.
